We Watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie- Daily Rant

WE FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie! We weren’t able to afford to watch it when it came out and were waiting for it to show up on a streaming service. We also planned to rent it on Amazon Prime Video, but just never got around to it. My kids have been wanting to watch the Mario movie for a while now. But we had to wait.

THANKFULLY NETLIX ADDED THE MARIO MOVIE! My whole family was hella excited when we saw it listed on Netflix. It was Mario party time! Eh? Yeah, get it? Ahem, anyway, we enjoyed it! It was fun, loved the easter eggs, and the style, colors, animation, and humor were all on point! I was geeki8ng out the entire time! It was a heartfelt love letter to fans of the franchise, and I think they did a fantastic job bringing the Mario world to the big screen.

THERE WERE A FEW ISSUES that I had with the movie, but overall it was great. I wasn’t too fond of Luigi’s whiny voice. I also wish there were more scenes and back-and-forth banter between Mario and Bowser, it was disappointing that they didn’t speak much and their entire screen time together was relegated to the ending. Cool to see, I just wanted more. I would have also liked to see Daisy make a cameo. And were they teasing Rosilina with that depressed, albeit freaking awesome, star? I can’t wait for The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2!
