Hand of Rel: Social Panic Chapter 2- Wattpad
THE 2nd CHAPTER of Social Panic is up on Wattpad! Hand of Rel: Social Panic follows Rel Rel as she leaves the house, dealing with people, tailgaters, and other taxing social situations. It’s a YA fiction slice-of-life-tale about social anxiety. In chapter two, Rel Rel deals with the anxiety of seeing her neighbors outside, as she leaves the house. It makes her uncomfortable. So, every morning, she tries to sneak out, before they come outside.
READ AN EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 2:
Rel Rel tipped her fingers into the blinds, pulling them down ever so slightly, trying to get a clear view of the outside world. Through the smudges and smears on the dusty living-room window, she surveyed the empty street and quiet houses. Yes, good. All was silent, as it should be. Not a soul was out and about. No neighbors, or cars, or the odd passerby that just happened to be moseying down her street. Nothing. No one. Good.
It was early, yet. Probably about 9 or 10 am? Still cool outside, before the afternoon warmed the land with the bright midday rays of absolute sunshine. For Rel Rel, mornings were the best. Fewer people. Less traffic. Less to deal with. As it should be. But on this morning, as with any other morning, Rel Rel was cautious. Very much so.
Creeping to the front door, Rel Rel jiggled the doorknob and eased it open. Just a bit. Just enough for one eye to move out beyond the hinges, taking a look around. She gulped heavily, trying to calm the nagging tingle in her guts. Then, with a forced puff from her trembling lips, she pushed the door open and put one foot outside.
PLEASE GO GIVE THIS CHAPTER A READ! It is up on Wattpad. It’ll make your day that much more magical if you do. And if you don’t? Well, let’s just say your day will be less magical. And no one wants that, am I right?!
