Finished Cell & Kill La Kill- Life Rant
I PLAN TO WRITE DAILY. Or as often as I can. Heh, that daily thing was a bust XD But I’m still trucking along. This is entry #8 on October 20th, 2022!
I’m currently listening to Juicy- Lofi Hip Hop Mix.
A FEW MONTHS AGO I started watching Dragon Ball Z with my kids. I figured it was time. I had shown them episodes and clips before but never sat them down and watched the whole series. So it was high time I did!
Dragon Ball Z
We started with Raditz and the Saiyan saga. Around the time we started the Frieza arc, Fortnite came out with their Dragon Ball Super crossover with Beerus, Bulma, Vegeta, and Goku character skins. It was an interesting coincidence. My kids were so excited! My wife got Beerus, my daughter got Bulma, my eldest son chose Beerus, and my youngest son wanted Vegeta. I ended up getting Bulma and Vegeta. Gotta love Fortnite!
Although, I will admit the character models aren’t the best. I’m okay with them, though. It’s just fun to run around as DBZ characters! But if I want accurate models, I still have FighterZ and Xenoverse 2. Oh, and speaking of Xenoverse 2, my kids have been all about that game since we started watching Dragon Ball Z! My eldest son beat the main game, my youngest is at the end, and my daughter is working her way to unlock Broly.
THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT FEELINGS about the show. My daughter loves Vegeta and Bulma and recently told me that she also likes Frieza and Broly. My oldest son is obsessed with Frieza and Cell. My youngest likes Vegeta, Broly, Goku, and Gohan.
DURING THE FRIEZA SAGA my oldest son was hyped for Frieza going on a butt-kicking spree. While my daughter was worried about Bulma and Vegeta, and my youngest son was upset and just wanted Frieza to die XD
THEY HAD ABOUT THE SAME REACTION to the Cell saga. My oldest loved Cell, my daughter was worried about Trunks and Vegeta, and my youngest could not stand Cell! With every death, he would be on the verge of tears cause Cell was hurting all his favorite characters! He was so happy when Gohan finally defeated the perfect weapon.
AT THE END OF LAST WEEK we finished the Cell arc. Woot woot! That final battle still holds up! I got emotional watching it. It is still freaking good!!! We will be starting the Buu arc this week. I’m so excited to finish Dragon Ball Z and share the ending with my kids!
Kill La Kill
WE ALSO STARTED KILL LA KILL at the same time. We’d alternate watching each show. I have to say, I liked the ending. I haven’t watched Killa La Kill in years! It was so long ago, but I remember hating the way that the show concluded. But maybe time and age have changed my mind, but I enjoyed the way the show wrapped up.
MY KIDS HAD FUN watching Kill La Kill. My daughter wishes they had another season. I have to agree! Her favorite characters are Mako and Lady Satsuki; she hates Nui and Ragyo. My oldest son likes Ira Gamagori and Nonon Jakuzure, while my youngest son’s favorite character is Houka Inumuta. I still love Ryuko Matoi, Nui Harime, Uzu Sanageyama.
WE ALL WANT TO COSPLAY as the Kill La Kill characters! My daughter wants to dress as Mako, my wife wants to dress as Satsuki, my eldest son wants to cosplay Gamagori, my youngest wants to be Inumuta, and I’d dress as Sanageyama. How freaking cool would that be? It would cost a lot of money, but it would be amazing!!!
My Hero Academia
WE ARE STILL MAKING OUR WAY through My Hero Academia. I want to catch up on the most recent seasons so I can watch the movie. We’re currently on Season 4 Episode 70 “GO!!!”. Yeah, we’re so behind. There are 6 seasons as of right now. Still, a long way to go, but I love this anime! I’m excited to see where it goes!
My wife loves Todoroki, Toga, and Deku. My daughter loves Toga and Bakugo. My eldest son likes Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. And my youngest son loves Todoroki. I’m all about Shigaraki and Asui!
Starting New Anime
Once we’re done with Dragon Ball Z and My Hero Academia we have a full list of what to watch next. Dragon Ball Super, for sure. But we also plan to start Fairy Tail and Soul Eater. After that? Maybe Gurren Lagann.
I’m debating if we should start Full Metal Alchemist. That anime is pretty intense XD Maybe I’ll save it for later. Loved the original! I’ve never seen Brotherhood. The 90s Sailor Moon, Death Note, and Case Closed are also on the to-do list!
