Steven Universe was Awesome and Heartfelt- Daily Rant

WE FINISHED STEVEN UNIVERSE ON 8-27-2023. It was my first time watching the show the entire way through, and it was an amazing ride. I have to say, I hated the show, to begin with. I had only seen the first few episodes when it first came out, and it kind of annoyed me. I didn’t like how none of the characters listened, and the only one I could tolerate was Garnet. Steven was obnoxious, Amethyst didn’t listen, and Pearl was just mean.

I did, however, watch the Steven Universe Movie when it came out and enjoyed it. Around the time that me and my babies started watching Dragon Ball Z for movie time, my daughter asked if we could start Steven Universe. I was hesitant because I didn’t want to sit through a show that annoyed me. Not a fun way to spend our time, but she insisted, so we did.

I DO NOT REGRET IT. Thank you, baby girl! It was worth taking another watch, and the show just kept getting better with every episode. Amethyst and Lapis are my favorite characters, but I still love Garnet. I hated Pearl in the beginning, but she slowly grew on me. The same goes for Peridot, she’s funny.

It was a good ending, and I loved the show. It’s heartfelt, has a great message, and the characters are all very well-written. My youngest son started crying when we finished the last episode because he was sad that it was all over. I had to hold and console him for a bit, which is okay! You know the show is good if you break down and get emotional.

We’re planning to start the Steven Universe Movie next, and then it’s on to Steven Universe Future! It’s been an awesome ride so far.
