Being Creative at Hit Record- Creative Rant
HIT RECORD IS A CREATIVE WEBSITE directed by the amazing actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt! I’ve been a huge fan of his since 3rd Rock from the Sun, Angels in the Outfield, loved him in Treasure Planet, and of course, Inception! I’ve been following the tweets of Hit Record for a while, and I decided to give it a shot! He’s always posting interesting writing/creative prompts, and I’ve always wanted to try it out.
I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ONE prompt, that he’d give, and everyone following would jump into the collab. Turns out, Hit Record is actually a huge collaborative site, where not only JGL posts prompts, but so do other users! The whole point is to work with other creative people, to make something original and imaginative. Very cool, if you ask me!
I’VE WRITTEN TWO STORIES so far. I decided to give the website a look and joined up to become one of the many members of Hit Record. I have a lot of the writing prompts bookmarked, and plan to write more, soon! It’s just a fun way, for me, to be creative, and write for the heck of it, on another writing website. I LOOK FORWARD TO WRITING MORE for the Hit Record website. It’s a pretty cool creative community, and there’s lots to do for not only writers, but photographers, voice actors, editors, and all! I really want to try my hand at some of the voiceover work, because it’s something I’ve always wanted to get into. They have a few where you just scream, and I think that would not only be fun, but also therapeutic, somehow. I’m going to do it!
