Finished The Witcher Season 3- Daily Rant

WE FINISHED THE WITCHER season 3 on Netflix. Um? So, I will say that I have played The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. I made it to near the end of the game I think? I was playing as Ciri once I stopped playing (life happened and I haven’t had a moment to go back to finish it. Maybe I should?). Aside from that, I have never read the books or played the other Witcher games. So that’s my frame of reference for the Witcher show.

I LIKE THE WITCHER ON NETFLIX, first of all. I loved season 1, and I actually enjoyed season 2. The first half of season 3 wasn’t too bad. I mean, it dragged a bit, and I wanted more Witcher stuff, like monster hunting, and more monsters. More action I guess? But aside from that, I was still kind of invested.

Yes, I’m upset that Henry Cavill is leaving. I’m Team Cavill! But I was willing to give the show a chance. I wasn’t able to tell how far they strayed from the original source material since I’m only familiar with The Witcher Wild Hunt.

BUT THE SECOND HALF OF SEASON 3? I absolutely hated it! I don’t know what happened, but it was a freaking mess. Maybe I’ll do a short rant about why later, but for now I will say it was disappointing. And if that is the direction the show is going? I might just stop watching any further seasons.

And that’s not to mention losing Henry Cavill, unsure of how I feel about Liam Hemsworth taking over the iconic role, and how by the end of season 3 I hated most of the characters and was just left utterly frustrated.

Which is sad. Cause I really liked The Witcher show.
