Hocus Pocus 2 was Pretty Good- Daily Rant

MY WIFE AND I DECIDED to check out Hocus Pocus 2. It was pretty good! We enjoyed it. The actresses, in the beginning, did amazing! Also, the dialogue was funny and had us laughing from the start. They captured the mannerism of the original trio very well.

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy fell back into the role of the Sanderson Sisters perfectly! Even after all these years, they nailed it. And Sarah is still hella alluring, oh my good gosh!

The movie wasn’t perfect but it was entertaining. One Way or Another was all right, but it didn’t hit as hard as I Put a Spell on You back in the day. I do wish they chose another song that had a more magical feel to it.

I also wasn’t a big fan of the protagonists. I did, however, like the twist in the end with the spell and Winifred’s consequence with her sisters. I got a bit choked up!

Closing Thoughts

All in all, we enjoyed the film! It was a lot better than I thought it would be. We were hoping for more original music, but what we got worked for the most part. It was fun!
